Since 2016, Premier Building has delivered over 300 projects with highly satisfied clients. Our success is underpinned by a thorough project methodology, diligently followed by every member of our team.

Understanding customer requirements

We take care that our team thoroughly understand your service requirements, and these are met through each stage of the project. We ensure this through:

  • Kick-off meetings with the customer and all key stakeholders
  • Carefully recording and clarifying all requirements
  • Assigning a key point of contact for all formal and informal meetings and briefings, which will also be attended by other personnel where appropriate
  • Integrating all information into our documentation to ensure customer requirements are aligned with our management systems, policies and procedures and capabilities

Scope variations

When project delivery requirements result in scope variations, we:

  • Seek to mitigate impacts to cost and budget through regular formal and informal meetings
  • Innovate with alternative construction methodologies wherever possible

Customer Relationships

We take care to establish effective working relationships that make the process as smooth as possible for all customer personnel involved. This includes:

  • Consistent, open and transparent communication
  • Agreeing upon and abiding by an appropriate level of meetings and reporting
  • Adhering to our customer’s correct line of communication and reporting
  • Complying with any media protocols to enhance and maintain our customer’s reputation
  • Ensuring no unplanned disruption to our customer’s operational environment
  • Celebrating success with our customers

Excellence in Delivery

We ensure excellence in project delivery through:

  • Innovating in construction methodologies and value-adding to projects wherever possible
  • Building trust by delivering every project on time and on budget with no surprises
  • Requesting and responding to feedback (positive and negative)
  • Constantly adapting our business model to ensure we provide the highest level of service, and incorporating lessons learned
  • Using transparent, timely and relevant reporting systems

Suppliers, contractors and consultants

Our suppliers, contractors and consultants are integral to delivering successful projects. We establish strong working relationships with them by:

  • Paying invoices within agreed payment terms
  • Regular and relevant communication using preferred channels
  • Complying with contractual obligations
  • Behaving ethically and honestly
  • Identifying and monitoring risk to keep all personnel and the environment safe from harm
  • Ensuring project scope and obligations are clearly understood
  • Providing appropriate lines of communications and grievance procedures
  • Fairly evaluating of performance and providing timely feedback
  • Celebrating success with our contractors and acknowledging them for their efforts

Planning and Delivery

We take an integrated approach to planning and delivering services, involving all relevant personnel and assigning clear roles and responsibilities. This approach involves:

  • Ensuring appropriate resources are available to complete the project within the customer’s timeframe
  • Detailed planning of the scope of works
  • Completing a ‘Project Start Up’ checklist to gather outstanding critical information from client or stakeholders
  • Organising and facilitating appropriately scheduled project meetings
  • Conducting site safety and quality walks as per our Quality Assurance Guidelines, using our Safety Checklist to covering plant and site safety
  • Continually monitoring quality processes to ensure efficient commissioning and handover

Measurement and Reporting

We manage all project measurement and reporting through our project management software, which allows us to:

  • Conduct regular quality assurance audits in AS4801, AS9001 and AS14001
  • Conduct customer surveys during and after project completion
  • Report against project KPIs such as non-conformances, workplace incidents/injuries, increases in costs from suppliers and subcontractors, and work load against available capital
  • Measure against environmental and safety controls, as outlined in our bespoke Project Management Plans
  • Follow and measure against Safety Management and Environmental Management Plans and Subplans

Record-Keeping

We carefully maintain all records of service delivery, which are stored electronically in our local server, backed up by cloud-based software, and maintained by our head office-based Administration Team.

Cost Management

We diligently manage costs through constant review of our financial position with key personnel and advisors. The finance team works closely with Project Managers to successfully manage project costs.
